Description

One of the fun aspects of creating abstract monotypes is that after you stare at them long enough they become a sort of Rorschach test as various forms take shape in the resulting textures. Something about the colors in this one, which remind me a bit of a coral forest, and the textures, which were produced with assorted cast-off materials (like lace scraps and those bags they sell onions in), led me to find a little seahorse. The underlying acrylic was fairly thin, so I was able to layer the seahorse image on top using a regular art marker.
