Last updated June 5, 2022 to reflect this site’s new use of reCAPTCHA
This policy outlines what you can expect when you interact with texturous.com, a website maintained by Texturous, LLC, a sole-member LLC in Oregon, managed by Carrie Gilbert. It describes the information collected by this site (or by a third party on its behalf), as well as what happens to your data once it’s collected and what you can do about it if you have concerns.
Email addresses
If you share your email address with texturous.com (for example, via a contact form, newsletter sign-up, or product purchase) you may receive future email communications from Texturous, LLC. These communications may include information about new offerings or upcoming art events. You can of course opt out of these at any time by contacting Carrie via the Contact page or by following the “unsubscribe” instructions included in the email message itself.
Purchasing and payment information
If you opt to purchase something from the texturous.com online shop, the transaction will likely require you to provide your shipping address and payment information.
Shipping address
We collect your shipping information so we can send your purchase to you. We may also collect your phone number just in case there’s a problem with your order or its delivery. We don’t use this information in any other way, although it may be stored in our records after the initial point of purchase. If you have concerns about that, just send a request and we can manually remove it.
Credit card information
Two of our payment options – credit card and Paypal – rely on third-party providers to process your payment. If you opt to pay by credit card, the transaction is processed by Square. Although Texturous, LLC never sees or stores any payment information like credit card numbers, that information does get passed along to the corresponding payment provider to process the transaction, along with your contact information. Take a peek at the Paypal or Square privacy policies if you have questions about how they handle your data.
Cookies and other potential third-party access to your data
Cookies may be set or accessed on your device by one of the third-party payment providers mentioned above, or by one of the other third parties upon which this site relies, including Automattic (the owner of WordPress, Woo Commerce, and some of the other plugins on this site) and Siteground (where the site is hosted). These third parties might also track information about your visit, such as browser or device info, IP address, the date and time of your visit, and the URLs of the pages you visited. Texturous, LLC does not directly access or use this information in any way.
reCAPTCHA
Forms on this site use reCAPTCHA to reduce spam submissions, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. reCAPTCHA works by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sending it to Google for analysis. Collected information will be used by Google for improving reCAPTCHA and for general security purposes, but not for personalized advertising.
Protecting your information
We strive to take great care of our customers, which includes keeping your information safe and secure! We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect your information from unauthorized access, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no website is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for any unintentional data disclosures.
Contact information
