Robin

This small canvas endured a series of collage and varnishing experiments that ultimately provided the perfect abstract setting for this springtime robin. The geometric markings are remnants of sewing patterns. A short snippet from an old book also found new life in this piece and can be seen shining through the robin’s characteristic red breast.
