I have a love/hate relationship with the aspen trees surrounding my home. As full-grown trees, they are a lovely part of the landscape, but as little baby runners springing up in the least convenient of places, they drive me nuts! This more easily contained grove is made from collaged materials and acrylic paint on the inner panel of a reclaimed maple cabinet door. With the bright blues shining through the denser green areas I hoped to capture some of the feeling of being in the shade on a sunny summer day. And with the title I hope to sneak a Madonna classic into your head!
